After five years, the wait is over. The VH1 Divas are back!
American Laser Centers and music channel VH1 bring you the 2009 VH1 Divas! This special event, broadcast on VH1 on September 17, 2009, brings to you some of music’s most incredible women singing their hit songs live!
The VH1 Divas concerts have been rocking the world since 1998, with some of the biggest names in the music world having taken part in them. Artists such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Gladys Knight, Jewel, Mary J. Blige, Beyoncé Knowles, and Gloria Estefan are just a tiny taste of the talent that has been a part of why VH1 Divas has been so successful. Every concert is an epic event is for the benefit of the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit movement aimed to help keep music education in schools across America.
This year, Divas 2009 will be held at Brooklyn, New York’s Howard Gilman Opera House come September 17, 2009. Running the show as the host will be Emmy and Grammy award winner Paula Abdul, with eight of the hottest up and coming female artists singing their newest hits. Included in the line up are Jordin Sparks, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.

Yea, Miley Cyrus not a diva! I think what she has for talent is sooo far from wat the others listed here have. Anyway, thank you for this. It's so cool to be able to have the opportunity to be like my favorite singers. They inspire me to be the best woman I can become!
Great writing but I must disagree on the fact that Miley Cyrus is a diva and I am sorry for giving such a harsh comment. I do think that Miley Cyrus is a trying hard diva but she’s not. She can’t even sing properly. Though this event is a very good way to empower the confidence of women.
