310067472 45147e50c3 Top Tips for a Radiant, Glowing and Youthful Looking FaceThe face is one of the most noticeable areas of the human façade. It has the ability to ‘launch a thousand ships,’ bring men on their knees and adorn magazine covers. One’s personality is also quickly judged by the way her face looks as a result of how he or she takes care of it. That is why for a lot of women, and even some men, facial skin care is a special undertaking. Because most of the time, having a glowing, great looking face is about all you need to look good in public.

In the past, we talked about general skin care. We presented to you some tips on how to take care of dry skin, and most recently, we discussed how eating the right kind of food helps in naturally rejuvenating your skin from within. In this post, we will present to you the best ways to take care of your facial skin with some of the proven techniques most experts would advise as the best ways to take care of the skin.

Facial care tip #1 – Understanding your skin

Facial skin is no different than the skin that covers the rest of our body. In order to properly take care of it, one needs to understand what type of skin he or she has. Is it dry? Is it oily? Is it sensitive? Or is it normal? Knowing the type of your skin is the first step towards giving your face the proper skin care it deserves, because not all facial care treatments are appropriate to all types of skin.

Facial care tip #2 – Cleansing

Cleansing is a very important aspect of your facial skin care regimen. It washes away excess oil and dirt. Be careful, however, to not use soap bar when cleansing your face as soap bars contain ingredients that dry and irritate the skin. Have you noticed that after washing your face with soap bar, as your face dries it feels tight? That’s because certain ingredients in soap bars have stripped your skin off its essential moisture that makes it supple. Dermatologists would even recommend using soap bars only from the neck down. Use liquid facial soap to cleanse away excess oil and dirt. Liquid herbal soap is best recommended to keep the face looking radiant and naturally glowing.

Facial care tip #3 – Scrubbing

Our face is covered with dead skin cells that make our skin’s complexion looking dull. Scrubbing is required to remove deep-seated dirt, dead skin cells and oil. For sensitive skin, using a fine-grained facial scrub is most recommended to avoid irritating the skin. You can also use lemon juice and sugar to scrub off the dirt from your skin. Scrubbing also helps in removing blackheads and in exfoliating the face, leaving it with a fresh look and pinkish glow.

Facial care tip #4 – Moisturize

Regardless of skin type, with the exception of people with acne problems, moisturizing the face is a must to keep the skin supple. Moisturizers lock in moisture, and a moist skin stays younger and healthier. A word of caution, though; Avoid moisturizing the skin excessively. Too much moisturizer could clog the skin pores.

Facial care tip #5 – Use sunscreen

The first four facial care tips will all be wasted if you don’t apply sunscreen to your face. Why? The greatest factor to wrinkling and skin cellular damage is the sun’s harmful UV rays. As the sun dries out the skin cells’ membranes, this effect could lead to severe skin dryness, irritation and wrinkling. Applying sunscreen with moisturizers is the best protection you can give your skin during the day, so don’t leave this out.

Massaging your face daily for 20 to 30 minutes is also highly recommended to stimulate blood circulation around the face, giving the face a radiant pinkish glow.

These are really good advices and I really do hope that this helps other people to have that “glowing and youthful-looking face” they want to have. Of course, it is really hard to take care of our faces because that is one part of our body that is exposed all day and all night compared to our bodies which is pretty much covered with clothes. Furthermore, we need to handle our faces with extreme care that is why there are products that is specifically made to cleanse our face. It is true that as much as possible, we do not use the normal body soap in cleaning our faces as what is already explained in this blog.

Great blog guys! More power to you!

I follow these steps everyday and what can I say? I do have nice skin, and a healthy glow. I have normal skin anyway so this basic beauty advice works for me.

I think the best to follow is #1. It’s important to know what your skin needs. Like if you have dry skin, too much of #3 (scrubbing) can irritate your face. If you exfoliate a lot, without proper moisturizing, you might damage your skin and leave more problems for you to deal with.

Anyway, I really like this post! The skin is the largest organ in our body and we must care for it like we care for heart, lungs, and our other major parts. I rarely believe in make-up, the parlor, and other artificial means of enhancing our looks. I think that being truly beautiful means being healthy!
P.S. – Sorry, forgot to tell you great post!

Sometimes, it’s really nice to have nice skin but the difficult part of that is that I have to maintain it in such way, I will have less maintenance and with that, I will have less expenses when it comes to skin protection. But I must admit that these skin protection tips are really helpful. We need to protect our skin because it’s really hard to maintain it and if we maintain it properly, then we wouldn’t go to the parlor or any means of fixing our skin problems.

These 5 tips are indeed very helpful. My skin also tends to be really dry especially on very cold days and its really annoying. To be honest, i always forget to do the 3rd all the way down to the 5th facial care tips mentioned above! I don’t moisturize and i seldom use sunscreen maybe that’s why my skin looks so dull and cracked.

I’ll try to follow these simple regimen and see if there will be any improvements. Aside from these, i also think that its important to take note of the food that we eat and the kind of lifestyle that we have because they can also have a significant impact on our skin.
